About the role
- Be proficient at building complex models to assess operational opportunities and drive implementation cross functionally.
- Leverage diverse technology platforms to refine and automate data sources, harmonize data points, and model "what if" scenarios that can be used to evaluate and predict the impact to performance.
- Harmonize and make sense of disparate datasets to determine business and operational trends and drive action.
- Clearly communicate insights in context, translate data into visualizations that aid decision-making, demonstrate business insight, and align with business priorities.
- Play a key supportive role in building the annual business plan based upon analytical review of historical and competitive data and strategic direction for the category, brand, and customer.
- Provides input to support Trade Spend management
- Provide analyses of promotional performance to drive future decision-making and support development of optimal promotion and media calendar
- Be the liaison in communication between cross functional groups internally focusing on Customer Insights, Trade Development (i.e., new item launches, seasonal opportunities), Sales Finance, Supply chain etc.
- Manage and develop customer administration: Contracts, New Product Forms, Pricing Adjustments, Customer Listing Base / Distribution.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree or have equivalent experience in a Business-related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of business intelligence experience supporting CPG sales team(s).
- Experience working in an analytic or category management role with Amazon and other digital retailers (i.e., Walmart, Loblaws and/or Viola).
- Must have advanced proficiency with Amazon Vendor Central
- Experience with Power BI (or comparable platform) is required, including visualization, parameters, report optimization, creating measures, modelling, reports/dashboards, and dataflows.
- Experience in the Power Platform is preferred (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Have some experience in the extraction and analysis with Nielsen.
- Ability to look at the data trends and recommend solutions that tie together a business problem and technology solution that may not have a clearly defined relationship or organizationally paved path to create revenue and reduce loss.
