About the role

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in architectural design, construction, and maintenance activities across Nestle's buildings and facilities for new projects and ongoing infrastructure improvement
  • Coordinate with project team members and suppliers to ensure lowest cost solutions are deployed that meet all requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and designers, to develop and implement architectural strategies and standards
  • Review and approve architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with Nestle's design guidelines, local regulations, and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify any potential issues, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Manage and oversee external architectural consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring their work aligns with Nestle's requirements and expectations
  • Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional project teams during the planning and execution of building projects
  • Apply lean value design principles to all building projects to deliver required performance and specifications at optimal cost efficiency
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in architectural technology, materials, and sustainable practices, and make recommendations for their integration into Nestle's building standards and projects
  • Collaborate with the Nestle sustainability team to incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into building projects
  • Support the development and implementation of Nestle's long-term architectural strategy, considering factors such as scalability, flexibility, hygiene, and cost-effectiveness
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the project team, fostering their professional growth and development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, or related field
  • A Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design and construction project management
  • Experience with multiple capital brown and green field projects exceeding $5MM capital individually
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Extensive experience in clean room design, hygienic finishes, coating methodologies and similar
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, ACC or SketchUp
  • Professional certification or licensure as a Hygienic Design, Architect, and/or PMP is highly desirable
