About the role
- Collaborate with engineers to build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and automation tools that support cybersecurity operations
- Use platforms like Splunk to collect, analyze, and visualize system logs and security data across thousands of nodes
- Develop and enhance dashboards, reports, and alerts that provide visibility into system health, compliance, and operational performance
- Assist in automating routine tasks such as patch tracking, certificate monitoring, and compliance reporting using scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Participate in the design and implementation of data pipelines that support real-time and historical analysis of infrastructure and application metrics
- Work with global team members across Philadelphia and Chennai to support ongoing projects and operational initiatives
- Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing to support team scalability and efficiency
- Engage in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews to gain exposure to agile development and DevOps practices
- Tackle real business challenges, collaborate across teams, and contribute ideas that drive results from day one
- Build meaningful relationships through social events, peer engagement, and Team UP volunteer opportunities
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program after the completion of the summer internship (must be returning for Fall 2026 semester)
- Available to work 40 hours per week starting June 1, 2026 through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation
- Familiarity with Linux Bash for command-line operations and system-level scripting
- Understanding of data science principles, including data wrangling, visualization, and statistical analysis
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, Ansible and Jenkins
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in Information technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure reliability, and/or operational excellence
- Preferred Majors: Computer Science /Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, etc.
