About the role
- Enter patient, specimen, and test information into laboratory information systems (LIS) with high accuracy
- Receive, review and enter patient data into laboratory information systems (LIS) with high accuracy
- Review and verify data to ensure completeness and correctness
- Compile, organize, and analyze data for reporting purposes
- Identify and correct data discrepancies or escalate issues a necessary
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient and organizational data in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations
- Complete data entry in a scheduled, timely manner
- Collaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvements
- Understand and validate record keeping processes
- Understand healthcare operations and systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data entry (experience in a healthcare setting preferred)
- Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with EMR/LIS systems and Google Workspace
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in dynamic environments
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving aptitude
