About the role
- Own the entire LIMS release process execution, ensuring smooth and timely software releases with minimal downtime.
- Work closely with development, software quality assurance, and operations teams to understand requirements and coordinate releases.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes across environments.
- Design and implement application infrastructure projects to support growth and enable innovation.
- Continuously monitor release process effectiveness and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of release process, CI/CD pipelines, and regression testing procedures.
- Resolve release issues and improve the release process; may require working outside normal hours.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Practical experience building complex CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
- Ability to read and understand Java code.
- Strong command of AWS stack.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience working with databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience working with Terraform.
- Preferred: Experience with Kafka.
- Preferred: Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Preferred: Knowledge of regression testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit).
- Preferred: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Preferred: Experience working in regulated environments like healthcare.
