• Assist and communicate with the HR Manager on day-to-day operations
• Perform all phases of the payroll processing cycle and maintain payroll records for all assigned companies, internal and external
• Conduct onboarding and offboarding in the HRIS
• Meet with new hires to provide training on the HRIS self-service portal and meet with departing employees to conduct exit interviews
• Ensure the HRIS captures all relevant data for employee profiles and payroll (wage changes, benefit enrollments, retirement elections, deductions, taxes, etc)
• Prepare reports, forms, audits, and surveys on a routine basis and as requested
• Maintain employee handbook, recommending modifications where appropriate
• Ensure timely distribution of changes to all employees
• Stay informed of local, state and federal regulations for all states where the company employs personnel
• Maintain payroll compliance with all applicable rules, including completion of required filings
• Participate in numerous annual audits
• Provide support and guidance to employees for all human resources related needs, including pay, benefits, retirement plan, taxes, leave of absence, etc
• Monitor employee morale and company culture
• Recommend employee programs to achieve work/life balance
• Communicate with various stakeholders: retirement plan representatives, benefit brokers, software providers, external auditors, taxing authorities, etc
• Provide support across the human resources department.
