About the role
- Support day-to-day HR operations across core people processes, including employee relations administration, payroll and benefits support, policy guidance, and administrative HR tasks.
- Help bring company policies and handbook guidelines to life by responding to employee and manager questions with clarity and care, supporting policy acknowledgments, and reinforcing consistent application across locations.
- Escalate interpretation or exception requests as needed to ensure compliance while contributing to a positive, welcoming employee experience aligned with MOIC’s people-first culture.
- Administer employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through offboarding by completing required documentation, maintaining accurate employee records, and updating HR systems to ensure timely and compliant transitions.
- Coordinate with managers and cross-functional partners to support job changes and offboarding needs, and contribute to strong HR data practices by processing updates, assisting with routine audits, and supporting reporting efforts to maintain data accuracy and system integrity.
- Serve as a trusted point of support for employees by managing leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and accommodation cases with care and attention to detail.
- Deliver responsive HR support through the ticketing system by triaging requests, resolving routine inquiries, documenting cases, and ensuring a timely, consistent, and supportive employee experience.
- Support managers and stakeholders by providing policy-based guidance, reinforcing compliance expectations, triaging issues to appropriate HR teams, and escalating higher-risk matters to senior HR leadership.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience as HR generalist
- 2+ years of experience in leave of absence case management, with strong knowledge of U.S. leave laws and benefit coordination.
- 2+ years’ case management of Leave of Absence and Accommodation cases with experience in state specific laws such as California and New York.
- 2+ Experience with native integrations for new HR technology tools
- 2+ years’ experience with ADP as an HRIS tool
- 2+ Experience with managing HR Dashboards in spreadsheets or HRIS systems
- 2+ years’ experience with state and regulatory HR compliance
- 2+ building and managing healthy data practices through reporting
- **Nice-to-Haves**
- Certification in leave management or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ year of ticket management experience, Zendesk preferred
- Fluency in English and Spanish
