About the role

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of in-home sales consultants, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, strategies, and tools to close deals effectively and exceed revenue targets.
  • Sales Coaching: Provide hands-on coaching to consultants in the field, observing their sales presentations, providing feedback, and offering strategies for improvement to help them close sales more effectively.
  • Lead from the Front: Be a top performer yourself by handling a portion of your own sales, demonstrating best practices, and serving as a role model for the team.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies that maximize conversions in in-home consultations, ensuring consultants are using effective selling techniques, understanding customer needs, and presenting solutions that align with our offerings.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze team performance, providing feedback and conducting regular one-on-ones to help consultants grow and meet their goals.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive the team to meet and exceed sales goals, and contribute directly to company revenue targets by converting leads into successful remodeling projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (marketing, operations, customer service) to ensure smooth sales operations, high customer satisfaction, and a seamless transition from consultation to project execution.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies and stay ahead in the market.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • At least 3-5 years of direct in-home sales experience (preferably in home remodeling, construction, or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of sales tactics, consultative selling, and closing strategies, with the ability to coach others to success.
  • A “player-coach” mindset, with the ability to both lead and actively contribute to the sales process.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on hitting targets, closing deals, and maximizing revenue.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team while maintaining a focus on individual accountability and success.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar) is a plus.
