About the role
- Own requirements creation for Radar Components and compile a complete set of requirements.
- Lead technical collaboration with component suppliers and manage technical supplier activities and milestones.
- Drive radar acceptance, performance, and characterization testing.
- Coordinate technical activities and project milestones across internal and external stakeholders.
- Support sourcing, system integration, and production release activities.
- Ensure and support vehicle integration efforts, including wiring harnesses and packaging.
- Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for components and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Perception, Systems, Mechanical, Vehicle, Manufacturing, Quality, SW, Cybersecurity, Diagnostic, Reliability).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive, OEM, or a similar industry.
- Experience with radar system design, with a deep understanding of automotive radar hardware design/architecture, radar DSP, and radar testing/performance.
- Basic knowledge of common vehicle electrical and networking systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics interfaces and protocols (UDS, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively within rigid design, integration, and time constraints.
- Ability to interface globally with people at all levels and abilities, including both internal and external teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and able to balance and prioritize multiple diverse projects.
- Ability to quickly and creatively solve problems, independently and in teams, while maintaining quality work.
- Experience with hands-on vehicle integration, including wiring harnesses and packaging, is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree within Engineering (STEM) or a related field of study.
