About the role

  • Lead development, implementation, and team adoption of an enterprise informatics system for environmental compliance and remediation program.
  • Integrate, and capitalize from, a range of existing data bases and systems to develop an enterprise system that effectively engages staff, and optimizes intake, storage, access, processing, interpretation, dissemination, and visualization of information.
  • The enterprise informatics program will unify our information sources and systems to help our team efficiently execute and track complex workflow and visualize progress.
  • This position will be based out of our Loveland, CO office and will involve a combination of face-to-face time with local staff, hybrid-remote work, and cross collaboration with our national geospatial, quality assurance/quality control, and software development teams.
  • Candidates must be local, or willing to relocate, to the Loveland, CO area.
  • As a key member of the Environmental Consulting & Engineering team, you will be instrumental in: Software selection, implementation, launch, testing, trouble shooting, and enhancing of the Enterprise Informatics system
  • Coordination with other Montrose entities and the Loveland team to define and develop desired functionality
  • Training the Loveland team (up to 100 people) to effectively use the Enterprise Informatics system
  • Cross-connecting the Enterprise Informatics system with analytical and geospatial databases and systems
  • Developing and delivering communications that contribute to widespread and effective adoption (including data input and reporting) of the system
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance/Quality Control team to develop and enforce standards for incoming and reported data and queries
  • Developing the user manual
  • Developing or supporting development of requested queries, reports, and dashboards
  • Advancing engagement of the Enterprise Informatics systems by client personnel.
  • Developing and managing user-specific access and functionality control.
  • Practicing safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
  • Participating in continuous improvement programs and providing support to team efforts.

  • The position may require travel and an occasional overnight stay to offices, project sites and project meetings.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and successful clearance of a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug test.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, GIS, information systems or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in project operations, data systems management, or business process integration.
  • Hands-on experience administering and configuring software/hardware systems.
  • Strong understanding of data management, system architecture, workflow automation, and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, clients, and teams to deliver high-quality, efficient work products.
  • Experience and proficiency with: Microsoft Office software Advanced Excel and VBA Jira ESRI Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query) SharePoint Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP
  • Experience and familiarity in Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time/project management skills; detail-oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Commitment to customer service and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Safety conscious; continually assessing ways to mitigate hazards.
  • Experienced in writing proposals, estimating costs, and project management.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Soil and groundwater characterization experience.
  • Familiarity with Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulations.
  • Proficiency with ESRI/ArcGIS software and GPS field technologies
