About the role
- Support all phases of litigation including preliminary investigation and research, discovery, pretrial and trial
- Manage, organize, and maintain litigation related files
- Use legal research platforms and databases to gather case and docket information
- Collaborate with outside counsel on collection, preparation, and production of documents
- Assist with calendaring and tracking case deadlines
- Create and customize spreadsheets for collection and tracking of records and data
- Coordinate with outside counsel, witnesses, and experts on various matters
- Manage legal spend and case budgets
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field of law or related field (completion of a certificate program in paralegal studies is a plus)
- 3-5 years' experience supporting attorneys, with at least 1-year of in-house experience
- Experience in patent litigation and other patent related administrative proceedings is a plus
- Experience researching case and docket information and managing discovery by utilizing e-discovery platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective organization of complex and voluminous data
- Ability to shift priorities and handle multiple, competing tasks
- Strong organization, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
