About the role
- Drive growth within the SMB sales team: identify and close new business opportunities using a proactive approach, including cold outreach and partner engagement.
- Use consultative sales strategies: apply the Challenger sales model to understand client needs, provide relevant insights, and design tailored solutions.
- Manage sales leads: maintain a pipeline of leads organized by vertical to enable accurate forecasting and timely follow-up.
- Build and maintain relationships: manage client relationships throughout the process, from initial outreach to post-sale onboarding, fostering satisfaction and retention.
- Negotiate and close deals: prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close agreements to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Maintain market and product expertise: stay current on Moneris Solutions, industry trends, and competitor offerings to refine your sales strategies.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration: work closely with internal teams (credit, marketing, legal, product) to ensure smooth execution and shared success.
- Drive sales activation: leverage digital tools and follow sales processes for reporting, documentation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- One to two years of sales experience is an asset
- Experience in the payments industry is an asset
- Knowledge of sales reporting processes, sales tracking, and strategic selling
- Proven experience building relationships with mid-market clients
- Proficiency in English and French (read, written, and spoken)
