About the role
- Execute complex or sensitive employee lifecycle cases requiring advanced judgment and policy interpretation.
- Execute and coordinate operational compliance activities, including audit evidence preparation, validation checks, and remediation tracking.
- Partner with HRIS to design and execute Workday testing strategies; identify risk scenarios and validate the downstream impact of system changes.
- Investigate complex discrepancies across global people systems and integrated platforms; perform structured root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform advanced data extraction, manipulation, and validation to support KPIs, dashboards, compliance reporting, and leadership requests, while identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and reduce manual processes over time.
- Prepare validated datasets and supporting documentation for audits and strategic reporting.
- Support governance of the HR knowledge base (SharePoint) that feeds the AI platform (e.g., Harper), working with content owners to maintain content accuracy and timeliness, proactively identify knowledge gaps, and monitor inquiry routing, handoffs, and escalation workflows. Identify systemic control gaps, escalate risk themes, and recommend operational improvements.
- Provide support to junior team members and contribute broadly across People Operations priorities in a fast-evolving environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a related HR function
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including transaction review, audit trail analysis, effective dating, end-to-end business process understanding, and issue troubleshooting
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills in complex operational environments
- Experience executing compliance-related work, audits, or risk-sensitive operational activities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to pull, clean, manipulate, and validate datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to support documentation, audit materials, and stakeholder communications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Workday configuration concepts (preferred)
- Experience working with ADP and/or Jira in a People Operations context (preferred)
- Experience partnering with People Systems / HRIS, Payroll, Finance, or Legal (preferred)
