About the role

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including parcel, LTL, and occasional FTL freight.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Track shipments across multiple states and proactively resolve delays, damages, or delivery issues.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including BOLs, packing lists, and delivery confirmations.
  • Communicate regularly with carriers, freight brokers, and fulfillment partners.
  • Request and compare freight quotes; select cost-effective shipping options while meeting service requirements.
  • Maintain carrier performance records and escalate recurring service issues as needed.
  • Support fulfillment operations for both wholesale customers and direct-to-consumer orders.
  • Ensure shipping requirements and delivery timelines are met for key B2B accounts.
  • Assist with returns, refused shipments, and freight claims.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate shipment preparation and inventory availability.
  • Enter, update, and maintain shipment data in ERP, WMS, or shipping systems.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices and support freight cost tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and internal SOPs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline logistics processes.
  • Support audits and documentation related to freight and transportation activities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with LTL freight and multi-state shipping.
  • Familiarity with both B2B and direct-to-consumer fulfillment models.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics or shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and warehouse teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive issues outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Experience working with 3PLs and freight brokers (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ERP or WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) (preferred).
  • Experience in a high-volume or multi-location operation (preferred).
  • Understanding of freight invoicing and basic cost analysis (preferred).
