About the role

  • This role will be a critical member of the Professional Services team, helping our enterprise customers integrate Mixpanel into complex technical architectures.
  • You will be the technical expert responsible for ensuring that customer data flows into Mixpanel accurately and efficiently, enabling them to unlock the full value of our platform.
  • Collaborate with customer data teams to understand their data architecture and ensure seamless integration with their existing systems and customer data platforms.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest data from various customer sources into Mixpanel. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data ingestion, APIs, and SDKs.
  • Develop and implement data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data sent to Mixpanel.
  • Develop tooling, methodologies, and collateral to sell & deliver consistently across the enterprise book - building repeatable frameworks to be utilized by Customer Success and partners.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and reusable assets for our customers and internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales and post-sales process as it relates to Professional Services.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering, Data Engineering or similar role.
  • Strong technical expertise in data architecture, ETL/ELT development, data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.), relational databases, data normalization, and cloud architecture (GCP preferred).
  • Proven experience with B2B SaaS companies, preferably in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, Bash, SQL, etc.
  • A deep understanding of customer data platforms and their role within a company's data ecosystem.
  • Experience working with various APIs and data sources to build complex data integrations.
  • A technically curious mindset with a passion for solving new and challenging problems and a desire to help others succeed.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience in the Digital Analytics or Product Analytics space.
  • Preferred: Direct experience with Mixpanel's platform and APIs.
