About the role

  • Build an AI-powered personalization platform for a leading global news organization.
  • Develop backend services and expose APIs (Summarization, Follow Story, Catch-Up).
  • Integrate with Brightspot CMS (Publishing & Delivery) and implement notification routing (OneSignal/Sailthru).
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and error handling on a cloud-native GCP-based architecture.

Requirements

  • Experience with Java, especially in extending Brightspot CMS.
  • Proficient in Python, Node.js, or Java for backend development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with GCP services: Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
  • Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL API design.
  • Comfortable working in modern, cloud-native development environments.
