About the role

  • Mixpanel: event analytics platform used by thousands of customers to analyze product and revenue metrics
  • Operational Finance Team: handles accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and deal desk across Bay Area, Barcelona, APAC, and UK; ideally CST or EST timezone
  • Role: assist accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements and records
  • Responsibilities: preparing and recording journal entries (accruals, reclasses, depreciation)
  • Responsibilities: maintaining and reconciling liability and fixed asset balance sheet accounts
  • Responsibilities: reviewing and approving invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for proper coding and compliance
  • Responsibilities: performing monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas
  • Responsibilities: analyzing and reporting on month-over-month financial trends for assigned line items
  • Responsibilities: assisting with special projects including annual audit support
  • Responsibilities: streamlining workbooks and processes where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Moderate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Netsuite or Oracle
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a changing environment
  • Demonstrated the highest level of integrity in all situations
  • Strong analytical skills and is a self-starter
  • Bonus Points For: Navan or Corpay experience
