About the role
- Work closely with members of the Business Development, Research and Programs teams at Mitacs to design and deliver high-quality programs
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders at McGill University to understand the needs of researchers and students
- Consult with industry partners to determine their R&D needs
- Build and maintain a network of partners and clients in the private and postsecondary sectors
- Support the business development team as needed
- Provide business development support and student engagement assistance
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD, ideally from McGill University (or an equivalent combination of education and research experience)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- High level of enthusiasm and energy
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Team player
- Creativity and a willingness to innovate
- Interest in pursuing a career outside of academia and the postsecondary sector
- Ability to work in a high-performance environment
- Proficiency in written and spoken English required
