About the role
- Responsible for validating data transformations
- Ensuring data quality across DW/BI systems
- Supporting end-to-end testing of insurance data pipelines
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in ETL testing
- Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, DataStage, SSIS, Talend, or similar
- Ability to understand and validate ETL mappings, DWH design, fact/dimension structure, and schemas (Star/Snowflake)
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, joins, aggregations, and complex queries
- Experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL
- Expertise in debugging data issues and performing backend data verification
- Experience with BI reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, MicroStrategy) for report validation
- Knowledge of Python or any scripting languages for data automation (optional but beneficial)
- Exposure to Cloud Data Platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger) is a plus
- Knowledge of data quality tools like Informatica DQ, Talend DQ, or Collibra
