About the role

  • Define end-to-end GIS architecture (ArcGIS Enterprise, geodatabases, services) for observability, availability, scalability, recoverability, security and deployability in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Guide development teams, provide architectural guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Work with PMs, business owners, and IT teams to translate complex business needs into geospatial solutions.
  • Design integration points with enterprise systems (APIs, databases, cloud) and non-Esri platforms.
  • Define standards for spatial data modelling, visualization, quality, lifecycle, coordinate reference system, processing, transformation and security.
  • Lead migration from legacy systems to modern ArcGIS platforms.
  • Develop automation strategies, define GIS tech roadmaps, and support budget/planning.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store), ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, REST APIs, and extensions (Workflow Manager, Data Reviewer), QGIS / MapInfo.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (for web apps), OOD, and scripting GIS workflows.
  • Strong spatial database skills (PostgreSQL / Post-GIS, MS SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / Azure) and enterprise IT integration.
  • Solid GIS analysis, network dataset creation and ETL skills.
