About the role

  • Drive the design implementation and optimization of cloud-native solutions on AWS
  • Ensure scalability, security, and reliability across complex banking applications

Requirements

  • Lead the AWS platform engineering strategy ensuring alignment with Barclays Cloud adoption framework and security standards
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins or similar for automated deployments
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Cloud Formation for provisioning and configuration
  • Oversee containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, KS) for microservices-based applications
  • Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack) for proactive system reliability
  • Drive cost optimization, performance tuning and compliance across AWS environments
  • Strong experience in pipeline design and deployment automation
  • Monitoring, Logging (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices and regulatory compliance in banking
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and banking domain experience preferred
