About the role
- Analyze, design and plan architecture according to best practices
- Ensure high levels of data quality and availability
- Responsible for the design, specifications, sizing, and development of policies, standards, and procedures
- Oversee a consistent architecture and management throughout the organization
- Present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to executive, managerial, and technical audiences
- Manage relationships with other architecture teams, application owners, stakeholders, business, and customer representatives
- Conduct research into server, storage, virtualization issues, standards, and products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similar
- Excellent Knowledge of Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud environments
- Excellent Knowledge of Cloud Orchestration and Automation platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtual appliances, including HA/DR configurations
- Excellent knowledge of Sever hardware platforms: x86
- Excellent knowledge of VMWare vSphere, SRM, Replication, Usage Meter, vSAN
- Excellent knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, Backup, clustering, and encryption technologies from multiple vendors
- VMWARE Cloud, Virtualization, Server, and Storage vendor Certifications Preferred
- Five plus years of previous architecture experience, across multiple vendors and technologies
- In-depth understanding of Cloud, Server, Storage, Virtualization, Security, and Monitoring/Management architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices
- Solid experience architecting enterprise Cloud, Virtualization, Server, and Storage systems within a broad spectrum of technologies
