About the role
- Develop and implement the overall architecture for SAP Financial systems (SAP S/4HANA)
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions across SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules
- Extensive knowledge of SAP solutions specific to SAP S/4, SAP Cloud Platform and industry specific cloud offerings
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
- Lead the implementation of SAP Finance solutions from project initiation to go-live, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Coordinate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth implementation process
- Analyze current financial processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Recommend and implement process improvements, automation, and SAP functionality that can streamline financial operations
- Ensure the SAP system supports the organization’s financial goals and compliance requirements (e.g., tax regulations, SOX, internal controls)
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP Finance with other enterprise applications (ERP systems, etc)
- Oversee data migration and conversion processes during system upgrades or implementations
- Ensure that SAP Financial systems comply with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, including audit trails and financial reporting
- Monitor financial data security and support internal and external audits
- Provide strategic leadership for the SAP architecture team, overseeing the design and implementation of end-to-end SAP solutions
- Established personal brand amongst peers and executive leaders as the domain expert to call upon for the most critical sales and delivery opportunities
- Sustained success at this high level, raising the performance level of the entire team they engage with
- Manage a team of SAP architects, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for professional development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, SAP partners, and other external stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure that SAP solutions align with overall technology and business strategies
- Provide technical leadership and support for SAP implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery and adherence to architecture standards
- Present architecture concepts, strategies, and roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
- 15-20+ years of SAP solutions specific to SAP S/4, SAP Cloud Platform and industry specific cloud offerings
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
- Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP Financial modules (FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, etc)
- Big 4 / consultancy Experience is preferred
- S/4HANA Greenfield/ Brownfield implementation experience
- SAP Certifications preferred
- Understand and apply best practices in finance, accounting, and financial reporting within the SAP environment
- Provide expertise in SAP integrations with other SAP modules (MM, SD, etc.) and non-SAP applications, BRIM/FICA is a Plus
- 15+ years professional experience with expert knowledge in a specific area of the SAP suite and able to comprehensively apply that expertise across all applicable industry verticals
- Recognized externally as an expert in a specific area of the solution
- Consistently updates knowledge of the latest SAP releases, capabilities, and roadmaps
- Able to plan, lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring the quality of proposal delivery through the mobilization and motivation of appropriate teams (Capabilities on/off, peer solution architects, domain experts across BL's, etc), including estimation of the effort required to deliver the entire scope of a project and propose and optimize resource for opportunities in excess of $50 million across Capgemini lines of business.
