About the role
- Supports product design across MillerKnoll by managing external designer engagements.
- Ensures operational excellence through workflows, contracts, and royalties.
- Bridges creative and operational functions for successful execution of design projects.
- Maintains relationships with significant design partners and serves as a liaison.
- Leads contract negotiation and financial oversight for design contracts.
- Prepares reports and correspondence with accuracy and professionalism.
- Partners with legal team to develop intellectual property strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, design management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in design operations, product design, project management, or contract administration in a design-focused environment.
- Strong design sensibility and appreciation for design excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and communication.
- Proficiency in project management tools and office software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with budget tracking, financial reporting, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Adept at collaborating with legal, finance, and external design partners.
- Adapt to changing schedules and priorities across a global organization.
