About the role
- Develop and manage relationships with existing & prospective clients
- Identify opportunities for growth in collaboration with sales team
- Maintain product knowledge to articulate the portfolio
- Maximize commercial opportunities by understanding business trends
- Capture project information on Salesforce
- Provide accurate and timely reports to VP of Global Sales
- Develop strategic sales plans for existing and new business
- Build market share within the territory
- Organize product technical knowledge training
- Manage showroom sample stock and participate in events
- Host client events in the Chicago showroom
Requirements
- 3+ years sales experience - preferably within the commercial interiors sector
- Strong network of existing contacts in core Chicago and wider region
- Proven track record in creating or executing a sales strategy that delivers results
- Expertise in collaborative sales techniques
- Experience selling to the design community
- Ability to analyze market conditions and develop strategic responses
- Solid analytical skills identifying client needs and aligning them to products
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate positively with all clients
- Strong presentation skills
- Must be numerate in quotations and forecast information
