About the role

  • Develop and manage relationships with existing & prospective clients
  • Identify opportunities for growth in collaboration with sales team
  • Maintain product knowledge to articulate the portfolio
  • Maximize commercial opportunities by understanding business trends
  • Capture project information on Salesforce
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to VP of Global Sales
  • Develop strategic sales plans for existing and new business
  • Build market share within the territory
  • Organize product technical knowledge training
  • Manage showroom sample stock and participate in events
  • Host client events in the Chicago showroom

Requirements

  • 3+ years sales experience - preferably within the commercial interiors sector
  • Strong network of existing contacts in core Chicago and wider region
  • Proven track record in creating or executing a sales strategy that delivers results
  • Expertise in collaborative sales techniques
  • Experience selling to the design community
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and develop strategic responses
  • Solid analytical skills identifying client needs and aligning them to products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate positively with all clients
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be numerate in quotations and forecast information
