About the role
- Serve as the senior strategic partner for existing and prospective clients, supporting and/or leading business and media strategy conversations
- Lead research and strategy development leveraging agency technology and tools to create consumer insights, personas, consumer journeys and comms plans
- Map consumer journeys across the full funnel identifying the role of media in comms planning
- Translate client briefs into unique and actionable strategies and executional plans that drive measurable business growth
- Work across client teams and Centers of Excellence to elevate Mile Marker’s strategic position on business outcomes in addition to media outcomes
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for organic and agency growth
- Partner with the Analytics team to enhance and adopt tools and integrate AI
- Develop big-picture strategies connecting client goals with actionable marketing, media, and creative plans ensuring full funnel development
- Lead client engagements to align and agree on strategy and learning agendas
- Translate briefs into strategies spanning brand, media, digital, content, and social channels and ensure consistency across touchpoints
- Partner with client solutions, media, analytics, and creative teams to deliver integrated solutions across channels
- Provide thought leadership on consumer behavior, media and industry trends, cultural insights, emerging tools and platforms
- Develop and share internal trainings to build and deepen the practice area across the Client Solutions team
- Partner with senior leadership and the growth team on research and strategy for new business pitches
- Elevate Waypoint, the operating system, for strategic business purposes
- Serve as a subject matter expert in collaboration with internal and external teams, shape proposals, present strategic thinking, and support agency positioning
- Collaborate with internal teams to define best practices and frameworks for client engagement, campaign development, and performance optimizations
- Foster a collaborative culture that balances creativity, accountability, and results
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in strategy roles within media
- Proven track record of leading client strategy at the VP level or equivalent
- Strong expertise in media planning, omnichannel campaigns, or brand strategy
- Healthcare/vertical knowledge a plus
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience influencing C-suite stakeholders
- Ability to balance high-level vision with tactical detail; skilled at moving from insight to execution
- Experience leading teams and cultivating strategic talent
- Proven experience in pitching and winning new business preferred
- Experience with research, consumer insights, consumer journeys, comms planning, and consumer journey mapping across the full funnel
- Experience partnering with analytics and adopting tools/AI
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
