About the role
- Lead and grow Digible’s technical organization; own and evolve the Engineering organization (current teams ~8 engineers) and scale headcount
- Report to the CTO and work closely with the SVP of Product & Strategy, Data Manager, Product Managers, and other department leaders
- Design systems, practices, and culture for Engineering to ensure strong execution while building for long-term growth
- Bridge technology and business strategy; influence and guide technical designs to ensure alignment with business strategy
- Step into technical discussions, command incidents, and evaluate complex decisions when needed
- Mentor, coach, and develop managers and engineers; create clarity, alignment, and momentum across teams
- Lead hiring and team expansion over the next 12–24 months, including hiring managers and scaling via FTEs and contractors
- Ensure successful delivery against team commitments and company goals; drive organization-wide improvements to execution, processes, and culture
- Build operational and quality best practices, systems and structures that enable Engineering to scale effectively
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4–5 years in management roles, including managing other managers
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale technical organizations
- Experience balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in dynamic environments
- Proven track record of leading product engineering teams in close partnership with Product Managers and Designers
- Strong management skills, including hiring, performance management, and leadership development
- Outcome-oriented approach, aligning team success with business impact, emphasizing speed to results
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences
- Experience with software design and architecture, with the judgment to evaluate trade-offs and guide technical decision-making
- Comfortable digging into technical details, commanding incidents, and evaluating complex technical decisions when needed
- Must be located within the United States (role open to candidates located within the United States)
- Physical requirements: prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
