About the role
- Drive new business by prospecting, advising, and selling MIEC medical professional liability products across assigned healthcare segments.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and endorsed society partners, and represent MIEC at conferences, tradeshows, and industry events to expand awareness and generate leads.
- Serve as a primary point of contact, answering coverage questions and partnering with Member Services to support onboarding and retention.
- Execute the full sales cycle—from outreach through quoting, binding, and onboarding—across inbound and outbound opportunities, using consultative selling to assess needs, educate on coverage, present proposals, and coordinate applications.
- Prepare underwriting submissions, partnering with colleagues in Underwriting to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally to execute campaigns, improve sales workflows and CRM discipline, and monitor market/competitor trends to inform outreach and positioning.
Requirements
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales, and/or business development in insurance or a related industry required.
- Property and Casualty insurance producers license required, or willingness and ability to obtain the same within the first three (3) months of employment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, is strongly preferred.
- Digital Skillsets: Prior experience with customer relationship management software (HubSpot, Sales Force, Zoho, etc.), including sales/marketing automation tools, strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
