About the role
- Oversee the daily operations of a mechanical engineering team
- Play a client-facing role in new work
- Provide expert engineering guidance to support the Designer of Record
- Conduct design reviews and quality control checks
- Uphold project protocols and standards
- Review construction submittals and RFIs
- Utilize tools like Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
- Coordinate with Senior Engineers and Project Managers
- Develop scopes of work and estimates
- Contribute to marketing proposals
- Stay current with industry trends
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Business development and sales experience in the MEP industry
- Strong leadership skills and management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Revit, Trane Trace 700 or IES VE, and MS Office Suite
- Available for periodic travel
- Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) applicable to mechanical and plumbing engineering (preferred)
- Department of Defense (DoD) project experience (preferred)
- Plumbing design experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building certifications (preferred)
- LEED Certification (LEED GA, LEED AP, etc.) (preferred)
