About the role
- Design and maintain infrastructure for high-availability, scalable, enterprise-grade applications
- Analyze customer requirements for software components, system availability, security, and performance
- Design and document complete cloud hosting systems including capacity planning, instance type selection, allocation, and network design
- Estimate costs for recommended system designs
- Build systems by executing installation, configuration, and testing of cloud resources
- Use automation and configuration management to ensure repeatability and traceability of changes
- Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems
- Protect system integrity and security through controls and monitoring tools; provide written evaluations and recommendations
- Maintain system performance via monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and planning for future growth
- Design and run load and stress tests, document outcomes, debug infrastructure issues, and escalate application problems to development teams
- Maintain internal systems and customer deployment documentation
- Partner with project managers, technical consultants, software architects, and developers to validate infrastructure deliverables and document technical hand-offs
- Respond to support tickets and incidents in a timely manner per SLA commitments
- Contribute to defining best practices, operational policies, disaster recovery procedures, and ongoing improvements
Requirements

- Advanced to fluent English communication skills
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience in Linux and/or Windows systems administration (at least one required)
- Scripting: bash shell and Python preferred; PowerShell acceptable
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and HTTP protocols
- Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs
- Problem solver and willing to work in an agile/fast-paced environment
- Customer-oriented with good communication skills
- Willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (approximately one shift per month) — compensated
- Reside in Brazil (applicants must be residing in Brazil)
