About the role
- Contribute to Mention Me’s SaaS platform focusing on backend and data products
- Build features that power customer referral programs and Influencer Management product
- Work with Senior Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers and Data Science team to deliver product features
- Build new consumer APIs, create data pipelines for reports, prove POCs for marketing automation integrations, and collaborate on AI products
- Drive technical best practices and contribute to architectural decisions for backend and data systems
- Work across technologies including Symfony/PHP backend, BigQuery, DBT, Airflow, Python (agentic AI, Langchain), React/TypeScript frontend, GraphQL/REST APIs and integration tooling
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years experience with PHP (or another object oriented language) in a commercial, agile software delivery, environment
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
- Demonstrable experience with data concepts and tools, e.g. BigQuery
- Desire to put the user first - not the technology
- Good written and verbal skills - particularly with non-technical people regarding technical subjects
- Experience using git, GitHub and continuous integration (or equivalent technologies)
- Working within a multi-disciplinary product team, and experience working closely with product managers and designers to define, measure and achieve product success
- Have the right to work in the UK
- (Bonus) Experience building within a production-strength SaaS platform based on best practice architectures, providing high availability
- (Bonus) Experience building and managing data transformations using DBT (Data Build Tool)
- (Bonus) Experience in JavaScript, React, TypeScript
- (Bonus) Experience with Tray.ai and integrations (Webhooks, REST APIs, SOAP APIs)
- (Bonus) Experience with GraphQL, MySQL, and AWS or equivalent
- (Bonus) Designing with a security-first approach
- (Bonus) Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or a related discipline
