About the role

  • Manage territory base business and growth by initiating, supporting and developing strategic implanting centers
  • Assist in developing key referral networks and, in certain geographies, have primary responsibility for development of referral networks
  • Act as primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory’s customer needs, including account level reimbursement responsibility
  • Coordinate all support activities and develop sales partnerships with distribution alliances
  • Sell Pelvic Health devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice
  • Provide product and therapy technical support and service
  • Consult on strategic management and analysis of trends
  • Utilize Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth
  • Field-based role: reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Travel outside the territory as needed for broader engagement
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled clinical events and provide clinical assistance as primary resource

Requirements

  • 5+ years of medical sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Solid knowledge of the Reimbursement climate (nice to have)
  • Experience calling on physicians in Neurology, Urology, Colo Rectal Surgeons or related referral accounts (nice to have)
  • Experience in developing new, innovative markets (nice to have)
  • Experience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with the O.R. (nice to have)
  • Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis; preferred knowledge of managed care (nice to have)
  • Experience with Physiology/clinical therapies (nice to have)
  • Experience with Implantable devices (nice to have)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills
  • Team oriented
  • Conceptual/consultative sales skills
  • Understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable
  • Ability to follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work
  • Required to function using healthcare universal precautions
  • Ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events
  • Periodically required to work weekends, evenings and nights and may be required to engage in overnight travel
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical events
  • Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings and other training as requested
  • Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods of time in the operating room
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day
  • Ability to bend/stoop, squat and balance frequently
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Driving record will be reviewed and considered
  • Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel
