About the role
- Collaborate with R&D to refine product designs ensuring functionality, performance, and manufacturability
- Lead collaboration with design teams to develop and refine product specifications
- Provide insights into how product design choices impact process performance
- Oversee prototyping phase to test product design and manufacturing feasibility
- Develop early-stage assembly processes and create draft process work instructions
- Conduct testing to ensure product reliability and functionality; develop and validate test methods
- Lead Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) efforts and align designs with manufacturing capabilities
- Collaborate with Process Development Engineers and support Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues related to the product
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience OR Advanced Degree with 2 years of experience
- Previous medical device experience (preferred)
- Previous catheter-based device manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking experience
- Solid oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques and analysis
- Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) experience
- Design for Experiments (DOE) experience
- Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) experience
- Test Method Validation experience
- Ability to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and co-workers
