Achieves sales revenue targets and grows market share for specified geography by promoting, selling and servicing Medtronic CoreValve and related products post approval
Territory management including organization, administration and expense planning and control
Partner and resource to CVG field organization and Catheter Based Therapies cross functional teams
Provide quality technical support to help sites achieve procedural success including 'scrubbing in' to assist with valve loading and technical case support
Develop and execute strategies and plans to achieve/exceed sales quota for commercial cases
Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities
Educate sites on proper indications for TAVR procedures and products
Provide comprehensive technical support including imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, wave forms, and ancillary procedural solutions
Liaison with R&D for technology improvements and next generation needs
Ensure maximum coverage of all accounts within territory and assist with scheduling of cases
Participate in physician training and case observations and customer education meetings
Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints promptly including device complaint reporting
Maintain CoreValve inventory at sites and forecast implants
Submit accurate and timely expense reports and schedule travel arrangements
Identify, establish and maintain productive working relationships with key decision makers and internal teams
Communicate market intelligence and competitor activity to District Manager and Clinical personnel
Requirements
Bachelor degree
5+ years medical industry sales experience (selling physician preference products) in healthcare environment OR 3+ years of B2B sales and 2+ years medical industry sales OR 3+ years TDS experience or STEP Program graduate and 2+ years of medical industry sales
Ability to travel with overnight stay up to 50 - 75% of the time (geography variability)
Valid driver’s license
Active vehicle insurance policy
Driving record will be reviewed
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Hearing, sight and speaking ability
Ability to use computers and CT reconstruction programs
Ability to travel extensively by car and plane
Must have valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
Ability to wear lead apron for long periods of time (2-3hrs on average)
Ability to operate a moving vehicle
Ability to work in Cath Labs or OR’s with radiation exposure
Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Knowledge of CoreValve and other Medtronic TAVR product IFUs for safe and effective use of devices
Comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge
Understands current published TAVR and relevant literature
Recognize and understand competitive products, industry trends, and CBT/CVG portfolio
Knowledge of Clinical trial protocols
Experience calling on C-Suite customers (preferred)
Previous peer and physician education experience (preferred)
Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or TEE, CT, Angiograms) (preferred)
Computer proficiency and ability to perform CT reconstruction with CT programs (preferred)
