About the role
- Oversee multiple client accounts, acting as a trusted partner while coordinating internal teams to deliver high-quality medical communications programmes.
- Ensure projects run smoothly, budgets are managed effectively, and new opportunities are identified to expand client relationships.
- Lead the planning and delivery of medical communications programmes.
- Ensure clear project roles, timelines, and responsibilities across teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as their primary contact.
- Provide regular project updates and strategic recommendations.
- Attend client meetings, workshops, and conferences where required.
- Oversee programme tactics and ensure all deliverables meet strategic objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outputs on time.
- Ensure programmes reflect client strategy and evolving external environment.
- Manage programme budgets and financial agreements with clients.
- Track account financial performance and report to senior leadership.
- Ensure invoices and project reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts.
- Support proposal development and pitch preparation.
- Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities across client organisations.
- Line manage junior team members up to Account Manager level.
- Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in a medical education or medical communications agency
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of commercial drivers within agency environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
