About the role
- Administer RRSP and DC pension plans, including enrollments, terminations, leaves, and year‑end tasks
- Provide benefit enrollment packages and support to newly eligible employees
- Process employee changes such as hires, terminations, status updates, and personal information adjustments
- Manage disability claim documentation and premium collection for employees on approved leaves
- Update payroll and carrier records for waiver periods and benefits/pension adjustments
- Track and collect premiums owing and reconcile monthly benefit invoices
- Conduct regular eligibility audits to ensure accurate benefits and pension setup
- Maintain current knowledge of benefit and pension program updates and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Diploma in Business, Accounting, Administration, Payroll, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in benefits, pension, HR, or payroll administration
- Strong understanding of benefits and pension terminology, calculations, and plan documents
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and HRIS systems
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and reconciliation skills
