Lead the strategy and execution of scientific communications, medical information, and publication planning in support of the company’s pipeline and eventual commercial launch
Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to deliver impactful and timely scientific exchange aligned with corporate and program objectives
Lead the development of disease-state and product-specific materials in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders
Drive the omni-channel scientific communications strategy in alignment with Medical Affairs and corporate objectives
Develop and implement publication plans to support scientific visibility and credibility
Oversee the development of standard and custom responses to unsolicited requests, ensuring all content is scientifically accurate, balanced, and compliant
Lead publication strategy and execution for clinical and nonclinical data, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
Requirements
Advanced medical or scientific degree required: MD, PharmD, or PhD
12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech Medical Affairs experience, including 7+ years in Medical Communications
Experienced leadership in building and leading a communications team
Demonstrated success in product launch planning and execution
Experience in publications, congress planning, medical education, and omni-channel content strategy
Established track record of KOL and society engagement as well as scientific collaboration
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks governing medical communications (e.g., FDA, OIG, PhRMA, and international equivalents)
Proven ability to establish and manage a Medical Information function, including vendor oversight and call center management (preferred)
Up to 30% domestic travel, Valid US driver’s license required, ability to travel without restrictions
