About the role

  • Preparation of month end accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Group accounting - Reconciliation of Intercompany transactions, posting and analysing group costs
  • Attending regular meetings with budget holders.
  • Assisting in a suite of reports up to group within agreed timescales.
  • Assisting in the annual budget process and regular forecasts
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly ONS reporting
  • Being a point of contact for the annual audit ensuring required information is provided and explained to the auditors.
  • Updating of cash forecasting model - bi-weekly updating of the cash actuals into the monthly cash forecast for review by the Management Accountant.
  • Ad hoc duties to support the team

Requirements

  • - IT literate, with strong Excel skills
  • - To take an active role in the finance department and display excellent team working skills
  • - Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior non-financial colleagues
  • - Good analytical skills
  • - We are looking for a well-motivated self-starter, who will retain ownership and a willingness to learn.
  • - A willingness to maintain flexibility on responsibilities is essential
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential
