Senior Project Accountant

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Performs corporate finance operations, including financial reporting and analysis, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and month- and year-end close calendar and operation
• Accountable for all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Provides input in the development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols
• Independently leads the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports and analysis
• Supports all audit activities and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

Business Development Rep

• Perform all federal and non-federal project financial operations.
• Create and update project annual budgets and account codes.

Associate Manager – Project Business Development, Finance, Accounting

Controller

• Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Controller will be accountable for oversight of all corporate and project finance, accounting, and financial reporting activities.
• As the leader of the Finance and Accounting team, the Controller is involved in supporting presentations to the Board of Finance Committee and works closely with executive and senior leadership.
• The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations for an organization with a budget of approximately $35M and lead a team of 5-6 staff members, with 2 direct reports.
• Finance operations include functional responsibility over project accounting and financial reporting and analysis, as well as corporate accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, corporate insurance, annual audit, budget, and treasury.
• The Controller will ensure that MCD has the systems and procedures in place to support effective project implementation and have successful audits.
• They will partner closely with project leaders and their staff, not only to train them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can better support project operations.

• Independently manage all aspects of project cradle-to-grave administration
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-award oversight
• Serve as the primary project financial liaison
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and other funders regulations

• Independently leads all finance operations including reporting, accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and corporate insurance

• Oversees funds accounting for restricted/unrestricted funds
• Establishes internal controls for revenue and budget expenditures
