About the role
- Play critical role in Trade Operations and Reconciliation team troubleshooting and resolving issues with security trades, reference data, critical data elements, reporting and month end investment close processes. Monitor trade ingestion, maintain security master file data, process manual trade activity, perform trade and SMF reconciliations, identify breaks and root cause for remediation. Partner with teams to identify and implement process and data improvements, develop business knowledge of transaction types, work independently to resolve complex business problems, manage multiple priorities and collaborate across organization. Part of Positions and Pricing Oversight team within MassMutual Investment Operations; oversee daily processing of security trades for GIA and partner with Investment Accounting, Tax Accounting and Enterprise Risk Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area 3+ years of experience in investment operations Understanding of investment operations processes and related data workflows Strong documentation skills Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment Knowledge of Investment Operations ecosystems Knowledge of Eagle PACE or similar financial data management tool Knowledge of Eagle STAR or similar investment accounting platform Expert user of Excel Knowledge of SQL/Oracle query tools MicroStrategy, or other reporting tool experience a plus Ability to perform independent research and serve as a key resource for resolution of unique or complex business problems Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities Strong analytical skills
