About the role
- Play a critical role in shaping how MMA goes to market, strengthening the firm’s brand in the middle market, and enabling our producers and advisors to win in an increasingly competitive environment.
- Oversee the firm’s marketing, communications, thought leadership, industry positioning, and sales enablement functions, ensuring that marketing becomes a strategic driver of growth across the organization.
- Partner closely with sales, executive and field leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports MMA’s growth objectives and enhances brand awareness in the insurance marketplace.
- Foster strong partnerships with business leaders, sales, product teams, and external partners to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with field needs and business priorities.
- Lead stewardship of the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all channels and touchpoints.
- Design and implement channel marketing strategies that empower distribution partners and sales teams to effectively engage clients and prospects.
- Drive the adoption and optimization of marketing technology platforms to enhance campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team capable of delivering innovative and impactful marketing programs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior marketing leader, preferably as a CMO or equivalent, within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt strategies to stakeholder needs, and to foster an environment of collaboration in a matrix organization.
- Strong expertise in brand management, corporate communications, channel marketing, marketing technology, and data-driven marketing insights.
- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to understand and address the needs of field teams and business partners.
- Experience managing marketing functions across diverse product lines or business practices, with an exceptional ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with executive leadership, marketing colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
