About the role

  • Collaborate with complex clients to develop population health strategies with multiple data points, determine program metrics for evaluation, monitor progress, and evolve programs
  • Analyze carrier claims, utilization, and other data to draw conclusions about the overall health of a population and provide opportunities to drive improvements
  • Collaborate with MMA Southeast client management teams to ensure regular, consistent communication of client needs and progress
  • Use the Vendor Innovation Council (VIC) database and other appropriate resources to conduct RFPs for third-party vendors on behalf of the client, manage vendor partner relationships, and monitor performance
  • Use the MMA Health & Welfare Compliance Services team to understand legislation and regulations that impact well-being initiatives and incentive programs, clearly explain regulations to the client, and ensure well-being programs remain compliant
  • Be the liaison between the client and the carrier to understand and communicate carrier well-being programs
  • Assist with planning and scheduling client well-being events and programs (i.e., educational sessions, biometric screenings, health fairs, etc.)
  • Work with MMA Southeast Marketing and Communications team to develop and deploy well-being communications for the employer and employees
  • Collaborate with both the regional and national health management consulting team to develop and support local and national population health initiatives
  • Research and understand national trends and resources in well-being and population health
  • Attend team meetings, educational workshops, carrier functions, staff meetings, and social events as needed
  • Collaborate within a team setting and demonstrate value outside of the assigned role when the client or team needs it

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health or well-being field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Master’s degree and license or certification in related health and well-being field preferred
  • 7+ years of work-related experience, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position including Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of market trends in the health management arena, carrier programs, and third-party vendor solutions
  • Expertise related to the compliance of wellness program incentives and requirements
  • 10+ years working within the insurance brokerage industry, preferred
