About the role
- Work closely with client teams to evaluate health and welfare programs to identify trends, benchmark and measure key financials and specific improvements
- Utilize claims analysis tools and develop detailed client reports
- Assist in actuarial/quantitative analysis projects under the guidance of senior project team members
- Gather, organize, test, and review client or vendor data for accuracy, validity, and reasonableness
- Perform analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS, and other software
- Assist in preparing reports for data trend analyses to summarize findings and recommend strategies or plans to the client
- Participate in the development of the company's intellectual capital in health insurance actuarial services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of employee benefit plans with 2 years of industry experience and demonstrated relationship management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate client deliverables, with effective problem solving and resolution skills
- Strong organizational, project planning and management, analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent relationship building and presentation skills
- Superior listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
