About the role
- Lead a small unit within the compensation consulting business including budgeting, staffing, and strategy.
- Execute the business strategy for the unit, providing direction and focus while engaging staff to deliver results.
- Develop and monitor budgets and deadlines; oversee staff, delegate tasks, and peer review all client work.
- Interact regularly with clients by leading meetings, answering questions, overseeing edits or changes, and providing requested materials.
- Generate revenue through acquisition of new clients, cross-selling to current clients, and extending current client engagements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert across markets and regions, leveraging Mercer’s communication offerings and intellectual capital.
- Provide consulting services to Compensation Committees and senior management on pay competitiveness, benefits, performance measurement, and regulatory implications.
- Provide consulting services on broader Human Capital issues.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing teams within compensation consulting or related fields.
- Strong client management skills with experience leading client meetings and resolving complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies and manage budgets.
- Expertise in compensation, remuneration, and human capital consulting.
