About the role
- Join an expanding Center of Excellence as a subject matter expert on expatriate benefits programs
- Manage expatriate medical, dental, life, and disability plans, including annual renewals, competitive marketing, and ad hoc projects on behalf of large multinational employers
- Review client needs, recommend suitable approaches, and help implement expat benefit program strategies
- Manage client activities and direct work to team members according to roles/responsibilities
- Build effective relationships, internally and externally
- Review and analyze renewals and competitive marketing exercises
- Ensure fair and sustainable expat program renewals
- Present marketing results and annual renewals to clients
- Handle day-to-day client contact/management to resolve project-related questions and challenges
- Guide junior staff members in client interactions
- Communicate Mercer's position on expat industry trends to clients effectively
- Maintain awareness of the expat insurance vendor marketplace and evolving global compliance landscape
- Review external vendor contracts to ensure alignment with client expectations and requirements
- Delegate, guide, and coach junior staff and peer review their work
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience with employee health benefits programs (US or global)
- 2+ years of experience with expatriate benefits programs (carrier/consulting/client) and/or working with multinational employers
- Ability to confidently engage with clients in formal and ad-hoc situations
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize information and draw conclusions
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong business acumen
