About the role

  • Determine goals, vision and marketing strategy for GSBS recruiting efforts.
  • Increase student and community awareness of scientific endeavors and accomplishments at the UT Health Science Center.
  • Design and execute integrated marketing and communications plans supporting GSBS priorities and UT San Antonio brand.
  • Collaborate with institutional marketing teams on creative campaigns; oversee project timelines and ensure high-quality deliverables across print, digital, and event-based platforms.
  • Produce compelling content for websites, newsletters, blogs, social media, and recruitment collateral; maintain consistent messaging and editorial standards.
  • Work collaboratively with GSBS staff, GSBS Director of Admissions, graduate program leadership, and recruitment committees to identify recruitment needs and goals, define target audiences, and select effective promotional tactics.
  • Represent GSBS at local, state, and national conferences and recruitment events; maintain an updated recruitment website.
  • Develop and implement the GSBS social media strategy; partner with student organizations and academic programs to highlight achievements and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health professional field, Education, Science or a related field required.
  • Five (5) years of job related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of graduate program admissions and recruitment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of strategic communications, public relations, marketing, branding, community affairs and engagement.
  • Content creation for print, web, and social media; strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to lead, direct and contribute to initiatives and improve workflows.
  • Experience in building teams, managing staff, and achieving work plan goals and deadlines.
  • High tolerance for change and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.
