About the role

  • Record detailed cash journal entries
  • Perform various reconciliations/controls for Mutual Fund Trust cash movement and GRS stock plan products
  • Identify issues/accuracy and propose operational efficiencies
  • Support internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and process detailed journal entries
  • Perform monthly dividend and asset reconciliations
  • Monitor and clear suspense accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Fund Accounting or Accounting Firms
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel (advanced)
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Controls and reporting experience an asset
  • Operational background or understanding of operational environment, an asset
  • Knowledge of Retail Wealth Management products (Mutual Funds, Segregated Funds) and admin systems (Lawson, IFast, MPS) would be an asset
  • Proactive, resourceful and a self-starter
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
