About the role

  • Manage a team responsible for recruiting skilled candidates and developing employees
  • Lead the Training, Leadership Development, and Recruitment function
  • Develop a leadership development curriculum with business leaders
  • Anticipate and plan for future recruitment and training needs
  • Monitor key recruitment metrics and resolve issues
  • Design training programs based on adult learning principles
  • Act as a catalyst for culture change and engagement across the organization

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Canadian Disability and Group Life operations and products
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction and guidance
  • Strategic thinker who can translate business performance gaps into development strategies
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong builder of people and teams
  • Experience in developing and implementing learning solutions with a geographically dispersed workforce is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects
  • Consultative approach with business partners and leaders
  • Exhibits strong understanding of issues and challenges for the business
  • Ability to leverage data to drive business decisions
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, required for Quebec
