About the role

  • Supervise a team of Customer Service Supervisors to ensure quality customer relations and shipments.
  • Be aware of the progression of in-process order material to meet customer demands.
  • Solve problems that could result in late shipments (i.e., high scrap rate, tooling not available as scheduled, lack of materials, etc.).
  • Maintain an above normal rapport with internal associates and the customer.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for export shipments, including understanding of customs regulations and tariffs.
  • Daily contact with freight lines on scheduling customer pick-up.
  • Track lost or misplaced shipments.
  • Obtain proof of delivery when necessary.
  • Verify and authorize freight bills to be paid.
  • Support team with physical aspects of the position including loading, wrapping and forklift driving.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1-3 years related experience, preferably in materials management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, and more), SAP and ability to work on other computer programs.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Must be able to deal with a great deal of numerical data with accuracy.
