About the role
- Supervise a team of Customer Service Supervisors to ensure quality customer relations and shipments.
- Be aware of the progression of in-process order material to meet customer demands.
- Solve problems that could result in late shipments (i.e., high scrap rate, tooling not available as scheduled, lack of materials, etc.).
- Maintain an above normal rapport with internal associates and the customer.
- Complete all necessary documentation for export shipments, including understanding of customs regulations and tariffs.
- Daily contact with freight lines on scheduling customer pick-up.
- Track lost or misplaced shipments.
- Obtain proof of delivery when necessary.
- Verify and authorize freight bills to be paid.
- Support team with physical aspects of the position including loading, wrapping and forklift driving.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 1-3 years related experience, preferably in materials management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, and more), SAP and ability to work on other computer programs.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Must be able to deal with a great deal of numerical data with accuracy.
