About the role
- Full P&L responsibility for the MAHLE Tilbury site
- Foster a highly functioning ONE-MAHLE team culture
- Develop short, mid & long-term business strategies, budgeting, cost reduction, warranty, staffing, safety and labor relations
- Embrace the MAHLE Leadership Principles
- Create roadmaps for Operations, Operational Excellence, Logistics & Production Engineering
- Assist with the analysis and prioritization of key opportunities for locations
- Work closely with Executive Staff and Plant Managers to drive cultural transformation
- Oversee development of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage escalated issues related to manufacturing, logistics, operational excellence & production engineering
- Lead strategic process improvement projects utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in production operations management, Engineering, Business or related discipline is required; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience, including experience in manufacturing processes, with 10+ years in progressive levels of management for Tier 1 global or multi-national company as a Plant Manager
- Proven track record for delivering strategic results and executing effective change management
- Well-developed leadership and project management capabilities with demonstrated success in completing core-business, cross-functional and cross-cultural projects are required
- Strong foundational knowledge of the P&L
- Excellent vision regarding benchmarking and year over year progress is fundamental to this role
